ONE NIGHT CLASS
GIVE IT A SPIN!
Looking for something fun and new to try? The One Night Class is great for a date night, friend hang, family night out or trying something new on your own.

This class is $45 per person and includes two hours of instruction where you will be guided through the basic steps of throwing a cylinder on the wheel. You will receive three one-pound balls of clay to use to make and keep up to three pots. Pottery made will be glazed and available for pick-up three weeks following your class. Get your hands dirty with us, and feel free to BYOB.

Class offerings are for young adults and adults, 16 and up. If you would like to schedule an event with children under the age of 16, please reach out to us about booking a private event.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Pottery Pickup
Q: When will my pottery be ready?

A: Pottery is available for pickup three weeks following your event during Open Studio hours:
Tuesdays 12 - 4 PM
Thursdays 4 - 9 PM
Saturdays 12-4 PM
A studio monitor will be there to assist you. Please let them know the date that you attended class.
Clothing
Q: What should I wear?
​
A: Please wear clothing that is comfortable and that you do not mind getting dirty. Clay washes out of most fabrics, but we recommend avoiding wearing white. You will be provided with an apron.

Class Hours
Q: When are One Night Classes held? Can I just walk in?

A: One Night Classes are held on Friday nights from 7-9 PM and are booked ahead of time on our website. We do not allow walk ins.
One Night Classes are often booked out 1 - 3 months in advance, so please double check the date you are registering for.
It is important to arrive on time as the demonstration begins right away.
Age Limits
Q: Can I bring young children?

A: All participants must be 16 and older to attend a One Night Class. Unfortunately, we cannot make any exceptions.

Registering for 2 (or more) Guests
Q: I am trying to register for two guests, but the website is not allowing me to register both of us at once. Should I register us separately?
A. Nope! When booking your class, if the website does not allow a drop down menu on the "Client Details page" for you to select the number of guests, there is only one spot remaining in that night's class.
Navigation
Q: What do I put into my GPS to navigate to the studio?
A: Navigating to "Yellow Door Ceramics Studio" will give you the best results! Occasionally, a GPS will route you to a church down the street if you type in the physical address. If this happens, continue traveling east on Millersville Road until you see the Meadows Design Complex (a large brick building).
Class
Cancellation
Q: I need to cancel my class. Is that possible?

A: Bookings canceled 7 calendar days or more prior to the class or event will receive a full refund.
Cancellations received after this time - but at least 48 hours prior to the class - are not eligible for a refund, but may transfer their booking to another applicable date or find a substitute student to take their place.
Yellow Door will not refund or reschedule with less than 48 hours notice.
Classes may be rescheduled one time after the original booking.
Parking
Q: Where should I park?

A: There is a parking lot on Millersville Road in front of the building that says "Complex". Our glass-front yellow door is on the right side of the building.
