Who is Membership designed for?
Our Memberships are designed for potters looking for a communal space to create! This offering is for people with a wide understanding of the processes of ceramics, including: wheel throwing or hand building with clay, glazing, and safe studio practices.
It is required that you have taken at least one extended course on the medium (or been in regular studio practice) within recent years, as membership is self-guided and no instruction is included.
What is included with Membership?

Shelf Rental: Rates of $125 or $175 per month depending on amount of shelf space desired

Use of the Member Studio and equipment during Membership Hours (7 AM - 11 PM daily). The member studio has heat/AC, large garage doors, abundant natural light, and wifi.

Equipment includes: 9 member-only wheels, work tables, slab roller, extruder, studio glazes, communal tools, photography light-box, and more.

Option to pay by the pound or by the kiln load at discounted membership rates. Communal bisque and glaze firings occur approximately once each week. Cone 6 electric firing only.

Discounted rates on Kentucky Mudworks clay bodies.

Invitation to participate in studio sales (3x yearly) and events.

A community of 60+ Makers
The Yellow Door Membership Studio is located in the Milkyway Complex, and is an independent studio near (but not connected to) our Class Studio.
The Membership Studio is a 2,000 square foot space with ample natural light and two large garage doors. It has plenty of work stations with varying table surface options, a three-basin stainless steel sink with prep sprayer, photography light-box, two electric kilns, a slab roller, an extruder, and nine wheels!
This studio is a members' only space, allowing renters to have access from 7 AM - 11 PM every day of the year.
